Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Your starting pay will be $15.00 – $17.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are 8 – 12 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays is required, which may include weekends.
Your Role & Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback and answer surveys for required merchandising activities. Maintain professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    Provide additional service during peak season holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. You may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, which may include weekends.
  • Department resets:
    Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Usually notified two weeks in advance; may include evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    Support other team members as needed across territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying cartons, merchandise and display fixtures up to 30 pounds daily and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
  • Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
