Job OverviewEntry‑level sales and delivery roles supporting the DIY retail business. Positions can be part‑time or full‑time and require fleet safety certification. Basic automotive system knowledge and store inventory management are essential.
Primary Responsibilities – Salesperson- Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales targets.
- Deliver DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, and related parts.
- Maintain store product and operational standards.
- Lead inventory processes: truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, back‑stock, and related tasks.
- Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, fronts, dusting, parking lot.
- General stocking: truck stocking and back‑stock.
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Ability to use delivery board system.
- Friendly communication.
- Ability to locate and stock parts.
- Safety knowledge and skills.
- Operate inventory systems and store equipment.
- Parts and automotive system knowledge.
- Operate POS and parts lookup systems.
- Expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.
Job Skills – Salesperson
- Speak and write clear English (Spanish a plus). Build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure.
- Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
- Safely deliver parts to commercial customers as needed.
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
- Pick up returns and core parts.
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer.
- Daily collection of credit accounts.
- Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, fronts, dusting, parking lot.
- General stocking: truck stocking and back‑stock.
- Basic driving and navigation ability.
- Ability to use delivery board system.
- Friendly communication.
- Ability to locate and stock parts.
- Safety knowledge and skills.
- Operate inventory systems (back‑stock) and store equipment.

- Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification required.
The employee will predominantly walk or stand, handle objects up to 50–100 pounds, and operate mechanical parts. Vision, hearing, mobility, and comfort with repetitive tasks are required.
Work EnvironmentEmployees usually work inside, occasionally outside, and are exposed to weather, moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, vibration, and moderate noise.
