Executive Legal Assistant to Managing Partner
💰 $40,000–$60,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
We are working with a well-established law firm client in Annapolis, MD that is seeking a highly dependable Executive Legal Assistant to directly support the Managing Partner.
This role is ideal for someone who values structure, discretion, and long-term stability. The successful candidate will be a steady, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in anticipating needs, managing sensitive matters with care, and supporting traditional legal workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to the Managing Partner
- Manage complex calendars, deadlines, and scheduling
- Prepare and maintain client files (physical and digital)
- Assist with client intake and file setup
- Draft, format, and proof legal documents and correspondence
- Support legal research and memorandum preparation
- Handle filing, dictation, typing, and record maintenance
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and internal staff
- Work comfortably within legacy systems and established processes
- Service-oriented with strong professionalism and discretion
- Highly organized, calm under pressure, and detail-focused
- Proactive thinker who can anticipate needs and take initiative
- Comfortable with behind-the-scenes, essential work
- Seeking a long-term, stable role (not a stepping-stone position)
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or executive assistant strongly preferred
- Paralegal studies or legal assistant certification a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms
- Familiarity with e-filing and legal document formatting
- Ability to adapt to traditional workflows and systems
