A warm, thoughtful, and first-time family in Annapolis, MD is seeking a professional part-time nanny to join their household and provide attentive, loving care for their infant daughter. The parents describe their home as nurturing, routine-oriented, and filled with affection, laughter, and intentional parenting.
Both parents work remotely and value a caregiver who is confident, self-directed, and comfortable caring for an infant while parents are present in the home. They are seeking a nanny who views their role as a partner in their child’s early development and who values open, respectful communication.
This is a long-term opportunity, and the family hopes to build a meaningful relationship with a caregiver who is open to growing with them as their family expands.
About the ChildThe family has one infant daughter who will be approximately six months old when care begins. She is curious, sweet-natured, and beginning to explore the world around her. Care will focus on supporting her growth through consistent routines, age-appropriate and developmentally supportive play, and responsive, attentive caregiving.
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours- Approximately 20 guaranteed hours per week
- Scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
- Guaranteed hours are paid weekly regardless of usage
- Provide nurturing, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for one infant
- Follow established feeding, nap, and daily routines
- Engage the child in age-appropriate, curiosity-driven play and learning
- Encourage early milestones through reading, singing, sensory play, and interaction
- Prepare bottles and infant meals as needed (no cooking required)
- Maintain cleanliness of child-related areas, including bottles, toys, and play spaces
- Communicate clearly and consistently with parents regarding the child’s day, routines, and milestones
The parents follow an authoritative parenting approach, emphasizing warmth, consistency, respectful boundaries, and clear communication. They value collaboration with their nanny and are seeking someone who aligns with their family values and approach to caregiving.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications- 3-4 years of professional experience caring for infants (nanny, daycare, early childhood setting, or similar)
- Calm, patient, nurturing demeanor
- Comfortable working in a home with remote-working parents
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Interested in a long-term position and growing with the family
- Childcare-focused role only (no household cleaning, errands, or driving)
- No pets in the home
- Family employs a separate housekeeper
This position offers a stable, guaranteed part-time schedule with supportive and communicative parents. The role is thoughtfully structured with clear expectations and provides the opportunity to build a long-term, meaningful relationship with a family during an important stage of their child’s development.
Benefits2 weeks of paid vacation (normal rate), 5 paid sick days (normal rate), and overtime pay (time & a half) for any hours over 20 per week required.
