Key School seeks classroom substitute teachers for all content areas across all four divisions (age 2.5-Grade 12). Substitutes are responsible for fulfilling a teacher’s lesson plan and ensuring students learn the material in a supportive, collaborative, and positive environment. Substitute teachers are compensated for a full or half day, depending on the coverage needed.

The ability to navigate stairs as part of daily routines; mobility around a small campus with uneven pavement; bending and squatting as required to participate in activities; lifting/carrying boxes up to 25 pounds; and the ability to rearrange furniture for activities is occasionally required.

Founded in 1958 by professors from St. John’s College, Key School engages children from 2.5 years of age through grade 12 in a progressive, coeducational, college-preparatory program on its picturesque 15‑acre campus 4 miles from downtown Annapolis.
