System Engineer 3 with Security Clearance

We are looking for a System Engineer experienced in System Administration, Automation, Management, and Security Compliance. The role focuses on maintaining system integrity, performance, and security for critical client/server environments, requiring strong problem‑solving and communication skills. A small, mission‑focused team frequently interacts with users and the customer.
United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with agency‑appropriate polygraph are required.
- Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of a work product in Technical Process Areas associated with ISO/IEC 15288.
- Assist in performing systems engineering activities in ISO/IEC 15288 Agreements or Enterprise Process Areas.
- Analyze technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.
- Develop and deliver work products in ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
- Develop and deliver work products of the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
- Independently analyze and recommend alternatives for elements of a project’s technical design.
- TS/SCI clearance with agency‑appropriate polygraph and United States citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or equivalent with six (6) years of systems engineering experience (or ten (10) years of general system engineering experience for high‑school diploma holders). Master’s degree with four (4) years, or PhD with two (2) years of experience are alternative qualifications.
- Strong system engineering and system administration skills.
- Strong knowledge of security compliance.
- Experience with networking devices (Cisco, Juniper, Arista).
- System administration skills for Windows and Linux.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes/containerization.
- Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, Centrify, Group Policy, and network services.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols and patching.
- Excellent communication and escalation to management.
