ResponsibilitiesPay Rate: $18.00
Schedule: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am (shift work)
Basic Function: Ensure that an appropriate number of cars is kept on location throughout the shift, cars are parked in an appropriate fashion, and the lot is kept clean and presentable.
- Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
- Count vehicles on location throughout shift, as needed.
- Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors who violate garage policies.
- Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts, if applicable.
- Assist customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
- Maintain punctuality, work uniform, and presence on all scheduled days.
- Assist customers courteously and direct them to the Facility Manager if more assistance is needed.
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
- Assist with maintenance and repair of parking equipment and other general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
- Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or other unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other hazards to garage office.
- Substitute for Valets when authorized.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and major surrounding streets, landmarks, and freeways.
- Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Education / Experience: Less than high school education or at least one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination.
License: Valid state‑issued driver’s license required only if the role involves driving a company vehicle.
Availability: May require ability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends.

Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information one‑on‑one to customers and employees.
Mathematics: Ability to perform basic arithmetic with numbers up to 2‑digit, and use units of American money.
Appearance: Maintain neat and clean appearance; uniform required at all times.
Physical Demands: Regular standing, walking, use of hands to handle cash and equipment; occasional sitting, climbing, balance; occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
