Community Support Staff​/Tutor

One of our clients is seeking a Community Support Staff / Tutor to provide services in the Anne Arundel County area for the  school year.

The Community Support Staff are responsible for planning and providing community-based academic, vocational, social skills, and transition experiences to meet students' needs as outlined by county curricula and their IEPs.

• Under supervision of a certified teacher, plan and implement lessons and activities tailored to students' strengths and needs to meet IEP goals.
• Provide instructional assistance to teachers.
• Collaborate with therapists and crisis intervention specialists to provide crisis management and assist students in accessing community resources.
• Support employment and career development, including vocational assessment, career exploration, and internship/employment placement.
• Maintain records of academic, behavioral, and vocational participation and progress regularly.
• Maintain communication with parents, employers, adult service providers, and other outside agencies.
• Coordinate and provide transportation for students between their residences and community locations for school-related activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must meet state driving requirements, maintain auto insurance, and pass corporate insurance standards.
