Director, Human Resources
Summary: The Director, Human Resources will be responsible for overall management and coordination of the Human Resources functions, including developing the company’s hiring and employee retention process, employee relations, employee compensation and benefits programs, payroll and compliance. The Director, Human Resources ensures ongoing HR best practices, compliance, and collaborates with all business functions to support the Company’s growth and culture and foster a positive work environment.
The Director, Human Resources should have strong communication and organizational skills in addition to being detail oriented.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Maintains/updates the job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Works with members of management to lead the hiring, onboarding, and offboarding process.
- Conducts the onboarding, orientation, and training programs.
- Manages and resolves employee and labor relation issues and conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations as needed.
- Develops and maintains relationships with brokers, vendors, and prepares and presents annual benefit plan changes to senior management.
- Maintains employee benefits programs, coordinates open enrollment and informs employees of benefits and recommends additional/changes to benefits program.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Human Resources federal and state requirements.
- Ensures the Company’s systems are adequate to support recruiting, payroll, and benefits administration. Supports the design and implementation of applicant tracking.
- Responsible for processing payroll and maintaining employee payroll and benefits records.
- Prepares, updates and recommends Human Resources policies and procedures. Maintains all human resource records including employee files in accordance with regulations and US government requirements.
- Administers the employee timekeeping and leave tracking system and provides support to managers and employees.
- Assists in administrating the Company’s 401(k) plan.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position manages all third parties and employees, as applicable, of the department.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is a hybrid work position with some in‑office days and some remote days each week, subject to change.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full‑time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel: Both domestic and international travel may be expected for company office visits and other matters. Out‑of‑the‑area and overnight travel should be expected.
Security Requirements: Must be a US citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Education & Experience:
- Proven track record of successful Human Resources leadership.
- Experience with ADP Payroll System.
- Bachelor’s degree required and 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of applicable state, federal, and local employment laws and regulations, FMLA, ADA, and current employee and labor relations practices.
- Demonstrated experience providing sound advice to management in the application of employment law.
- International experience preferred.
- Experience supporting U.S. Government contracts preferred.
- SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
