Diverse Agile Solutions seeks a computer programmer to support the Register of Wills. The Register of Wills is charged with the protection of Maryland’s Generational Wealth and requires IT services to develop, maintain, and operate applications and a distributed network of PCs, peripheral equipment, and servers.
Job Description:- Provide IT systems, hardware, and software support and maintenance for ROW IT existing systems.
- Perform break fix of identified IT issues.
- Provide support, management, and installation services for desktop and server operating systems.
- Provide maintenance and modifications to the application as directed, including developing new functions and applications.
- Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques and tools.
- Interpret software requirements to develop design specifications, code, and integrate and test software components.
- Develop requirements for an existing ROW system, including the definition, design, security requirements, programming, and testing stages of development.
- Develop project plans with milestones.
- Develop and execute test plans.
- Deploy, upgrade, configure, and implement new, enhanced, and upgraded applications for each of the twenty-five (25) ROW locations.
- Provide software engineering support, including, but not limited to, planning, analysis, design, modification, evaluation, testing, quality assurance, and project management for all current and new applications. This will include enhancements and corrections to the application's functionality.
- Work closely with other contractors to resolve issues between the applications.
- Provide image transfer from the electronic document management system in the compatible file format acceptable to other state agencies. Must lead the configuration, operation, and delivery of the replicated deliverables.
- Develop web-based and/or eGovernment applications to maintain and enhance the ROW website, as directed by ROW.
- Develop and lead in the design, installation, configuration, and operation of the disaster recovery site implementation replication process.
- Configure microcomputers, communications equipment, and network equipment for maximum efficiency.
- Analyze microcomputer and network activity records and recommend and implement software and hardware upgrades and improvements.
- Diagnose software and hardware problems and adjust or coordinate service from software and hardware vendors and the State hardware maintenance vendor.
- Provide expert technical advice and guidance to ROW regarding IT directions, software or hardware enhancements, and software or hardware purchase recommendations.
- Ten (10) years’ experience in providing application development support in a multi- user, LAN-based, Microsoft Windows environment.
- Five (5) years’ experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Professional Edition suite with Visual C# development programming platforms & utilities;
- Five (5) years’ experience installing, configuring, operating, managing, and troubleshooting problems with the Highview Imaging Application.
- Five (5) years’ experience in providing help desk/application support services to a minimum of 300 users.
