Job Description:

Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a System Administrator to join a growing team in support of a government agency. This position will be fully onsite , located in either Annapolis Junction, MD or Fairfax, VA . Responsibilities/Overview:
* Employ best practices when implementing security requirements within an information system including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques
* Work directly with programs to ensure Information Technology (IT) infrastructure solutions meet the program requirements and schedules in a lab environment
* Provide comprehensive end-to-end computing support in closed environments from desktops to servers
* Provide broad range of systems and application support
* Prepare release planning for software and hardware across the system, including patch management
* Administer user system access and establishing safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements
* Develop, design, integrate and maintain all computer applications
* Evaluate complex system's production readiness and supportability
* Perform the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations
* Integrate security solutions into information systems
* Protect classified and proprietary information

Required Qualifications:

* Active Full Scope Clearance, preferably with the MD Customer.
* Experience with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Server , Windows 10, 20H2)
* Experience troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
* Experience with active directory (AD) to include applying domain group policies
* Experience with a VMware virtual network environment.
* Experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware
* Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Unix / Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/Oracle) server/workstation
* Develop Power Shell scripts to enable consistent, high-quality integration of hardware assets
* Experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
* Experience in Agile Methodologies
* Experience evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolution
* Experience with System Backups, Network switch configuration,
* Experience with upgrades and patches for operating systems and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software Compensation and Benefits: · $145,000-$210,000+
