The Assistant Field Manager is responsible for assisting the Field Manager in managing labor and material in the field to complete assigned contract maintenance and snow removal projects. This includes developing staff, ensuring contract renewals, completing jobs within budgeted hours, and maintaining low turnover. Collaborating with other field managers to meet branch goals.

• Develop a clear understanding of the company philosophies, branch goals, and financial position.
• Get to know team members and support their development.
• Participate in certification training sessions regularly.
• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities on assigned contracts.
• Understand hourly and cost budgets; monitor job hours, reports, and costs; communicate budget hours to crew.
• Monitor quality of work and proactively address issues, inspecting job daily.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in good working order.

• Demonstrated skill/ability to manage others at various levels.
• Skill to work with service customers.
• At least one year of experience in commercial contract maintenance.
• Two- or four-year horticultural or related degree and two years industry experience, or equivalent industry experience/certifications.
• Ability to identify and diagnose insect and disease problems and schedule treatments.
• Working knowledge of vehicles and equipment used in contract maintenance/snow removal.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record over last three years.
