Patient Care Technician Trainee
Position Objective:
Provides direct care to patients with special attention to personal hygiene in daily morning and bedtime care and comfort as instructed/supervised by designated registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.Currently enrolled in certified nursing assistant training program sponsored at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Required Education:
- High School Diploma/GED
Required licensure/certification:
- BLS certification prior to completion of the six-week training program.
- Must be issued a C.N.A. by end of program to move into Patient Care Technician or Specialty Technician role.
- The Patient care tech trainee will cease practice as a trainee on expiration of the 60 day letter from the MBON, or failure of the CNA course, or if denied a 60 day by the MBON.
- Trainee will be transferred into the Patient Care Technician job code upon receipt of the CNA certification from the MBON.
Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:
There is reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
