Responsibilities
  • Execute day‑to‑day operations for designated a‑la‑carte locations in accordance with Retail Dining FOH Manager specifications and SOPs.
  • Oversee staff assignments for set‑up, service, tear‑down, and side work; assure proper uniforms and a professional image.
  • Coordinate with kitchen, logistics, and inventory staff to execute events per specifications; confirm reservations for The Alley restaurant and member‑featured events; communicate floor plans and room preparation.
  • Greet and thank all members and guests, ensuring client satisfaction by communicating with guests throughout the day; investigate and resolve complaints regarding food and beverage quality and service.
  • Maintain ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linens, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil placement; monitor condiment counters, chill boxes, and merchandisers; assist FOH/BOH staff by refilling drinks, serving food, bussing tables, bar support, and barista support.
  • Settle cash bars, manage revenue, and complete banquet post‑function reports, bar inventory sheets, and a‑la‑carte inventory sheets in accordance with SOPs; submit to Catering Account Executive or Inventory Specialist.
  • Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies; confirm legal drinking age and discontinue service to intoxicated guests; provide training on alcohol awareness procedures; be C.A.R.E. Trained.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, legal, and healthy work environment by enforcing sanitation, food preparation, and service standards and procedures; comply with alcoholic beverage commission regulations.
Requirements

Qualifications (KSAs)

  • Five years of post‑secondary education beyond high school, or four years of specialized experience in catering or hospitality, or one year of GS‑5 / NF‑3 level federal service. Preferred education in Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a diverse workforce; preferred experience in planning, managing, or supervising catered events.
  • Proven excellence in customer service and hospitality management; comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Self‑motivated, capable of working independently; strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Conditions of Employment

    • Obtain and maintain a secret security clearance (requires age ≥ 18).
      Must be C.A.R.E. Trained.
    • Males born after December 31, 1959 must register for Selective Service.
    • Verification of employment eligibility in the United States required.
      U.S. citizenship required for Tier 3 positions.
    • Must understand and communicate in English.
    • Probationary period: flexible employment based on business needs.
