Duties and Responsibilities- Provides customer service, greeting guests and assisting with questions.
- Prepares and makes coffee, tea, and beverages; stocks merchandise, pastries, and grab‑and‑go items; unloads food from delivery trucks.
- Prepares sandwiches and other menu items; packs lunch boxes and assists catering events.
- Serves food and beverages in a professional, sanitary, and friendly manner; focuses on positive customer service from entry to exit.
- Sets up food service counters, steam tables, dining tables, and side service stands with hot and cold foods.
- Creates fruit and vegetable salads, serves portions in containers or glasses.
- Takes orders and processes payment using POS; may be required to complete register paperwork.
- Cleans dishes, equipment, and surfaces; disposes of trash.
- Position involves prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling and bending; light to moderate lifting up to 20 lb routinely, sometimes up to 50 lb.
- Must obtain and maintain a security clearance – requires 18 years of age.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Verification of employment eligibility in the United‑States is required.
- Probationary period:
Full‑time and Part‑time employees serve a one‑year probationary period. - Must understand and communicate in English.
- Must complete an occupational health screening for this position.
Skills and Abilities
(KSAs)
- A detailed narrative for each KSA, demonstrating qualifications and experience using specific examples, must be included in your application.
- Minimum six months of customer‑service experience in a food‑service role (server or barista preferred).
- Experience functioning in a fast‑paced restaurant, catering, or cafe environment, managing tasks efficiently under short time constraints.
- Experience working in a professional and sanitary environment while consistently delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience using a POS (Point of Sale) system or cash register in a food‑service role (server or barista preferred).
