Territory Manager at NPAworldwide – a sales role responsible for providing industrial hardware directly to customers within a defined geographic territory through cold‑calling, prospecting, and face‑to‑face outreach. Must reside in the territory and be able to operate a mobile store.
Responsibilities- Develop new sales prospects via research, referrals, and calling on nearby businesses.
- Make face‑to‑face calls to cold and warm prospects.
- Provide service to customers as outlined in company training.
- Submit complete daily business reports detailing sales orders and prospect calls.
- Present products and services using sample boards, demos, and the mobile store.
- Maintain cleanliness, operation, and functionality of the mobile store.
- Continuously update customer contact information in company software.
- Provide a fully insured vehicle, including insurance, fuel, maintenance, and technology tools (tablet, iPad, phone).
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred industrial sales experience, especially in route or industrial sales.
- Proven goal‑attainment record.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills.
- Detail‑oriented.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications.
- Working knowledge of the products sold is helpful.
- Must be able to purchase or lease an approved vehicle.
- Must reside within the territory.
- Above‑average mechanical interest.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must kneel & bend down to the floor regularly.
- Clean driving history.
- Professional conduct when representing the company (vehicle, attire, functions).
Salary:
Annual $70,000 – $90,000 USD.
Location:
Annapolis, MD (territory‑based).
3rd‑generation family‑owned and operated. Average employee tenure 10 years, 90% retention rate.
