TS​/SCI Special Security Officer; SSO Annapolis Junction, Maryland

We are seeking a Special Security Officer (SSO) to provide specialized security support to the Command’s government collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) organization.

• Provide assistance to the SSO in the administration of security processes and procedures in accordance with DOD 5105.21
• Provide security guidance regarding program development/operations, assure compliance with applicable government and company regulations, develop, obtain approval for, and implement security policies and procedures specific to the program to include Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and participate in self-inspections and Government compliance inspections.
• Provide day-to-day, multi-discipline analysis for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
• Process and administer personnel security records via Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and Scattered Castles
• Process SCI billet requests
• Process paperwork for classified visits to include routing of SAP forms
• Prepare courier cards/letters
• Perform scanning and duplication of various security documents and other program documentation, filing of documents, and maintaining of hardcopy and electronic files of program documents
• Conduct destruction of classified materials and maintain all document destruction records
• Process and manage SAP Pre-Screening Questionnaires PSQ and Program Access Requests PAR
• Provide accounting and controlling of all document and data transfers, to include the assigning of document control serial numbers, maintaining document control records, issuing of bar codes, conduct document inventory and audits. The preparation and processing of receipts, the preparation of materials for transmission and wrapping documents and or packages for delivery
• Support develop Security Classification Guides SCGs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS)
• Provide specialized expertise for all security programs to include information security, personnel security, physical security, communications security TEMPEST and computer security

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred Associates degree

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a security administrator role
• Demonstrated experience with Special Access Programs (SAP)
• Experience with
  
  JADE (Joint Access Database Environment)
• Demonstrated experience with conducting security inspections of facilities used to discuss, store, handle, process, received or transmit intelligence information
• Demonstrated experience with the development and implementation of security SOPs and Policy
• Knowledge of OPSEC, personnel industrial, physical, IT/IA, and information security principals
• Posses a working knowledge of government and industrial security regulations and contractor clearances
• Possess experience using both
  
  DISSand Scattered Castles personnel clearance databases
• Possess experience with processing visitor requests
• Possess experience maintaining security holdings
