$23 - $27 an hour
Job type:
Full-time, non-exempt. Pay: $23-27 hourly, dependent on experience.
Hours:
Monday‑Friday 8 AM‑5 PM.
As a Carpenter's Assistant, you will support our experienced Lead Carpenter in various tasks, such as measuring, cutting, painting, drywall finishing, assembling, selective demolition and installing materials. This role has a large focus on Painting and minor focus on other light carpentry tasks. You will gain valuable experience in the trade and have opportunities to advance your skills and knowledge in carpentry.
Responsibilities- Assist with basic carpentry and painting tasks, including cutting, measuring, and fitting materials.
- Transport tools and materials to work sites.
- Maintain and clean tools and work areas.
- Follow safety guidelines and instructions from lead carpenters.
- Help with the assembly of wood structures and fixtures.
- Perform other duties as required by the project.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and materials.
- Ability to lift at minimum 50 lbs and carry heavy materials.
- Good physical condition and ability to work in a variety of environments (e.g., indoors, outdoors, on construction sites).
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Previous experience in construction, general contracting or similar.
- Valid Drivers License.
