Experienced Marine Systems Technician – Oasis Experiences
Base Pay Range
: $29.00/hr - $45.00/hr
Founded in 1990 and based in Annapolis, Maryland, Diversified Marine Services and Bay Shore Marine are the premier marine service providers in the Chesapeake Bay region. We specialize in marine engines and mobile yacht service, including maintenance, repairs, installations, restorations, and refits for all makes and models up to 130 ft in length. With multiple locations, 12,500 sq ft of workshop/office space, two restoration facilities, a fleet of 23 fully outfitted service vehicles, and a team of 50+, we offer the most comprehensive in‑house yacht service in the region.

- Design, service, repair, and replace marine systems, including electrical systems and electronics, air conditioning, heating, and galley systems; plumbing (fresh, gray, black water); propulsion and generator fuel, cooling, controls, steering, ventilation, monitoring, and safety systems.
- Handle winterization, spring commissioning, engine and generator scheduled maintenance, custom systems design and installation, rigging inspections, and vessel monitoring.
- Plan jobs, troubleshoot, conduct system research, testing, sea trials, detailed customer walkthroughs, maintain clean trucks and shop spaces, complete clear service reports, and contribute to improvement initiatives.
- 4–6 years of hands‑on marine systems experience.
- Expertise in marine systems operation, design, installation, and repair.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Comfortable using Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Commitment to safety and best practices, using PPE and understanding standards.
- Independent, trustworthy, minimal supervision required.
- Team player with excellent communication skills and drive to help others.
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Advanced certifications (ABYC, NMEA, OEM) highly valued.
- Must supply own tools.
