Front End Developer​/Compliance Specialist - TS​/SCI & Scope Poly

Tektora are supporting a mission-focused client who are looking to speak with TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph cleared Front-End Developers with a strong concentration in Section 508 accessibility compliance, ensuring the RAD system's interfaces are fully usable by individuals with disabilities.

Please note: an active TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph is essential for this role. Applications cannot be considered without it.

This role would suit someone who combines solid front-end engineering skills with deep, hands-on accessibility testing and remediation expertise, including real proficiency with screen reader technology, and who enjoys working as part of a cross-functional Agile team alongside developers, system engineers and product owners.

You will be involved in:

• Designing, developing and maintaining front-end components and user interfaces conforming to Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards
• Performing comprehensive accessibility testing using JAWS and other screen readers
• Identifying and remediating issues across keyboard navigation, focus management, ARIA implementation, colour contrast and semantic HTML structure
• Conducting manual and automated accessibility audits, documenting findings and producing test reports to support agency compliance requirements
• Partnering with UX/UI designers, developers and product owners early in the design process to build accessibility in by design rather than retrofitting it
• Providing guidance on accessible design patterns
• Working with QA and Dev Ops to integrate automated accessibility testing tools such as axe-core, Pa11y and Lighthouse into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous compliance monitoring
• Participating actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and demos
• Communicating accessibility requirements and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph — essential, non-negotiable
• Hands-on expertise testing with the JAWS screen reader, with working familiarity of other assistive technologies
• Strong knowledge of Section 508 standards, WCAG 2.1/2.2 (Levels A/AA) and ARIA authoring practices
• Experience with semantic HTML, accessible form design, keyboard navigation patterns and focus management
• Proficiency with accessibility testing and auditing tools such as axe Dev Tools, WAVE, Pa11y and Lighthouse
• Experience with version control (Git) and Agile collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Producing VPATs and Accessibility Conformance Reports for federal agency review
• Integrating automated accessibility checks into CI/CD pipelines, for example Git Lab CI/CD
• Cypress or similar tooling for automated UI and accessibility test scripting
• Cloud-based architecture and deployment (Amazon Web Services)
• Domain knowledge of government agency reporting and dissemination policies
