Senior Software QA Analyst

Lead and manage end-to-end software testing and quality activities for software releases

Plan and scope software testing activities for releases, patches, and hotfixes

Develop detailed software test strategies, test plans, and test cases

Build and execute manual software test cases for pre-release verification

Identify, document, track, and support resolution of software defects and quality issues

Provide oversight of project deliverables, testing plans, execution activities, and reporting

Review and provide QA approval for software release documentation

Ensure software verification activities are completed in accordance with established quality requirements

Support software validation activities and validation documentation

Plan and create validation support packages for end users

Coordinate software testing activities across Software Validation, Software Support, Software Development, and Software Deployment teams

Work closely with software development teams to understand requirements, changes, enhancements, and defect corrections

Review software requirements and specifications to ensure adequate test coverage

Ensure test cases adequately cover functional requirements and expected software behavior

Maintain testing documentation, evidence, results, and traceability throughout the release lifecycle

Support testing activities associated with software redesign and rewrite initiatives

Participate in regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, and release verification

Evaluate opportunities to introduce automated testing where appropriate

Support and mentor existing software testers on test planning, execution, documentation, and quality practices

Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior or less experienced QA team members

Support software quality portions of customer questionnaires and quality assessments

Participate in onsite and virtual software quality audits

Provide appropriate documentation and evidence during software quality audits

Manage Software Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Aids Review, update, and maintain QA procedures and supporting documentation

Manage and oversee software testing systems and related environments

Ensure testing systems remain available, controlled, and appropriate for verification activities

Maintain accurate testing records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes

Prepare and communicate testing status, quality results, risks, and issues to project stakeholders

Identify testing risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies

Ensure testing activities remain aligned with project schedules and release timelines

Support continuous improvement of software testing and quality processes

Ensure software quality activities comply with applicable pharmaceutical and regulated-industry expectations

Perform additional software quality assurance, testing, validation, and documentation responsibilities as assigned.
