Wyetech is seeking a Software Engineer 2 (SWE2) to join a small, dynamic development team supporting the COUNTER PUNCH mission. This position is ideal for a strong Full Stack Developer with significant Front End development experience
, particularly with ReactJS, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
.

The Software Engineer will develop, maintain, and optimize mission-focused web applications and user interfaces while working closely with team members, mission customers, end users, and Government leadership in an Agile environment. The successful candidate will translate requirements, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes into responsive, scalable, accessible, and user‑friendly applications.

Required Skills/

Experience:

Strong Full Stack development experience with an emphasis on Front End technologies.
Strong UI development experience using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
.
Strong experience developing and maintaining scalable server‑side applications and microservices using Node.js and Express.js
.
Experience designing and implementing high-performance web‑based graph visualization interfaces capable of rendering and interacting with large-scale datasets consisting of thousands of nodes and edges while maintaining responsiveness and usability.
Experience with automated JavaScript testing and code‑quality frameworks, including ESLint and Jest
.
Experience gathering user needs, requirements, and feedback and translating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user stories into clean, reusable, and scalable Front End code.
Proven ability to design, implement, and consume well‑structured, secure, and documented RESTful APIs
.
Proficiency with Git Lab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and project management.
Knowledge and implementation experience with Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards
.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React
, REST services,
Docker containers
, and orchestration technologies including Kubernetes (CK8S) and Helm
.
Proven ability to work independently as part of a small development team, take ownership of assigned tasks, manage development timelines, and proactively solve problems with minimal supervision.
Experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to engage with senior leadership, mission stakeholders, and end users to gather requirements and provide tailored technical and project updates.
Experience delivering high‑impact product demonstrations to application users and leadership.
Ability to author accurate and concise project updates.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform application testing using organization‑approved browsers to ensure a consistent and seamless user experience.
