JOB PURPOSE:

The Bi-lingual Buyer position purchases materials, supplies, equipment and services from suppliers in Spanish or Mandarin speaking countries. The position is responsible for the competitive purchase of a wide variety of parts, material, equipment, supplies, assemblies, commodities, Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) items and services. The position will be directly responsible for the procurement of materials to support manufacturing and overall business objectives.

This position will also support the objectives of the Procurement Team, collaborate closely with Maintenance, Production and Planning, and support the company's overall growth plan. The position will represent the company with a high degree of professionalism when dealing with suppliers, internal and external customers and associates. The Bi-lingual Buyer position must follow all Kronospan Purchasing Policies and Procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced Spanish OR Mandarin and English speaking ability
• Excellent negotiating skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with suppliers and vendors both domestic and foreign
• Advanced knowledge / ability of Microsoft office software including Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Must have exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
• Must be a team player and have the ability to work and interact with associates/departments throughout the organization
• Must have knowledge of standard pricing and cost of goods
• Excellent attendance record
• Strong work ethic and sense of ownership of the job
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong computer experience
• The personality and ability to train others

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in a business related field.
• Purchasing experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Experience with International purchasing and logistics
