Supply Sustainment Instructor: Provides the full spectrum of Army training to include classroom, hands‑on/practical exercise, role‑playing, and field exercise training. This instructor teaches multiple 1‑week courses that include:
- Introduction to Supply functions aligned to Shop Operations
- Maintenance on Training Aids
- Supplies
- Classroom Administration
Location: Ft Mclellan, AL
Salary: SCA Rate + Health & Welfare
Start date: Contingent upon award
Education: HS degree. AA or Bachelor’s degree in Supply, Logistics or relevant field preferred.
Experience: Five years of experience in military logistic operations or equivalent, official instructor courses from military or civilian sectors, more than two years as an instructor, and qualifications or certifications related to course material. Must have experience with GCSS‑A, Power Business Intelligence, and Decision Support Tool. Previous Army supply experience highly preferred.
Clearance: Requires a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) prior to commencement of performance under this contract.
Responsibilities- Conduct resident training courses supporting Army Reserve civilian employees in maintenance and supply operations.
- Prepare classroom or training areas, pick up and return training devices as needed.
- Apply advanced instructional methods and adult learning models.
- Train to standard by conducting classroom discussion, lecture, demonstration, and practical exercise training per class schedule.
- Support conducting and assessing student critiques to identify strengths, weaknesses, and actions to improve performance.
- Review and summarize student course critiques; schedule remedial training as needed.
- Conduct academic counseling; review and grade projects and tests.
- Prepare and forward required documentation on student release prior to graduation.
- Generate reports, documents, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, and correspondence for respective training courses.
- Prepare training materials, develop training aids, set up classrooms, and deliver instruction.
- Prepare and maintain training venues and materials IAW course requirements.
- Ready training venues and materials IAW course requirements.
- Prepare class records, administer, and score examinations.
- Use Computer Based Training (CBT) and Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) during lesson plan development.
