As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling all assigned company property and casualty and/or subrogation claims in an efficient and accurate manner. • Handle all company property and casualty and/or subrogation claims assigned to the position in an efficient and accurate manner.
• During the period of Adjuster Trainee, complete the Alfa Adjuster training and other departmentally provided training to move to an Adjuster position.
• Maintain the company standard of professional claims handling by providing fast, fair claims service with a minimum of customer complaints.
• Contribute to the financial planning of the company by adequate reserving and controlling expenses.
• Assure control of claimants and insured to avoid lawsuits.

• 4-year bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, must have 2 years as an Adjuster
  -OR- 3 years in automobile repair, home and/or commercial construction, law enforcement, auto and/or property estimating.
• Computer skills with Excel and Word are preferred.
• AIC certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.
• Physical agility to ascend/descend stairs/ladders, walk on roofs, crawl under houses/cars and maneuver over and around small barriers. Sit for long periods of time doing sedentary work such as paperwork and computer work.
• Must be able to work in adverse weather and working conditions, with some extended stay away from home.
