We're searching for Production Planners to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in optimizing our production schedule, ensuring we meet customer demand, and improving our overall efficiency. You will use data to analyze and improve our planning processes.


** This posting can be used to fill positions in either Anoka, MN or Blaine, MN. If hired for a position based in Blaine, upon hire, onboarding and training will be held at our facility in Anoka, MN until the Blaine facility opens. You will work 5 days/week on-site in this position. **

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Scheduling & System Accuracy
    :
    Analyze component availability and value stream workload to assign accurate delivery dates for customized products, optimize production schedules, and monitor progress.
  • Communication & Collaboration
    :
    Work cross functionally with buyers, operations and planning to resolve issues, handle customer inquiries, and provide input to sales and operations planning. Solicit feedback, initiate corrective action and coordinate resolution of issues. Keep operations and management informed of critical situations.
  • Inventory & Order Management
    :
    Maintain accurate records, review forecasts, and process all order changes and cancellations. Identity excess and obsolete inventory, determine root cause and disposition, and take corrective action.
  • Part Planning
    :
    Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and minimize human involvement. Collaborate with buyers on component availability/lead time and production planning team to establish production schedules and optimal production sequencing.
  • Problem-Solving
    :
    Identify and resolve capacity/load issues, address equipment/quality problems, and initiate corrective action. Drive improvements in promise date accuracy for customized orders across multiple value streams.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, materials management, supply chain operations, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in production planning and execution preferred.
  • Ideal candidates would have experience in JDE ERP system.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and project management.
  • CPIM certification through ASCM preferred.
Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

  • $62,900.00 - $

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
