Table Tennis Coaches - Community Ed Youth Instructors

Coaches work with middle school participants enrolled in community education programs. Help promote skill development, teamwork, leadership, social growth, sportsmanship, positive reinforcement, and respect for others in a safe and positive environment.

Hours:

Jan – March 2026. Tuesday & Thursday practice, 3:00 pm – 5:15 pm; competition dates are Wednesdays (may go as late as 6:00 pm), except the District Competition which takes place in the evening.

Locations: Anoka Middle, Coon Rapids Middle, Jackson Middle, Northdale Middle, Oak View Middle, Roosevelt Middle.

Duties include:

• Table Tennis Coach – practice and match management.
• Provide student safety and program presentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned (Concussion training is required).

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
• Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.
• Concussion training is required.
• Must be physically working in the building/on site.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Table Tennis playing and/or Table Tennis coaching experience.
• Relevant work experience and previous experience with community school activities.
• Advanced training or college degree (preferred for coach and assistant coach positions).
• Previous experience working with middle school age students.

Rate of Pay: $17.95/hour, DOQ.

Start Date: ASAP.
