This part‑time position is available for Preschool Instructors to support the Early Childhood Program for children ages three to kindergarten. The Preschool program runs September through May with classrooms located throughout the school district.

• 175 days – Monday‑Thursday: 8 hours/day, Friday: 4 hours/day (or another schedule as needed)
• 147 days – Monday‑Thursday: 8 hours/day
• Available location and position types will be determined based on program needs.

• Conduct group and individual activities using developmentally appropriate practice for children ages 3‑5.
• Complete and implement daily and weekly lesson plans; set up classroom and materials to support student learning in alignment with Teaching Strategies GOLD objectives and the designed curriculum.
• Perform child assessments and observations to document child learning and progress and to inform lesson planning for individuals and the class.
• Maintain children's records.
• Participate in program or district staff meetings and professional development as assigned.
• Plan and facilitate preschool classroom teaching experiences for high‑school students involved in child development/childcare occupation classes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• For instructors located at the high schools: provide a lab experience for the high‑school students in Child Development or Child‑Related Occupations courses. Work with and direct high‑school students in planning activities for the preschool children as part of their courses and provide assessment of the high‑school students’ work to the high‑school teacher for inclusion in the students’ overall course grade.

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or closely related field.
• Ability to work with children ages 3‑5 and their parents.
• Lesson planning and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work with children with disabilities in an inclusive classroom.
• Good communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
• Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.
• Must be physically working in the building.
• Reliable transportation is required; may be required to travel between locations.

• Teaching license in Early Childhood, Kindergarten, or Elementary Education.
• Experience teaching in a high‑quality early childhood program.
• Experience using curriculum and assessment materials.
• Demonstrated ability to work with children, ages 3‑5, one‑on‑one or in groups.
• Knowledge of child development.

$31.37/hour & up DOQ.
