Join nVent as a Process Engineer and bring a scientific lens to our coatings and sealing operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You’ll lead improvements across powder coating systems and Foam-in-Place (FIP) processes, optimizing pre‑treat, application, and curing stages to boost quality, efficiency, and sustainability. From troubleshooting defects to reducing powder waste and cure times, you’ll apply engineering expertise to modernize equipment and elevate our finishing capabilities - all while partnering with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and suppliers to deliver reliable, best‑in‑class finishes.
** This role will work onsite, 5 days/week, in Anoka, MN.

**** WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:**
* ** Optimize Production Systems:
** Support manual, semi-automated, and automated processes by collaborating with operators, team leaders, and value stream managers to improve layouts, material flow, and line balancing.
* ** Lead Coatings & Foam Projects:
** Own projects for Powder Coat Paint systems and Foam-in-Place (FIP) technology, driving improvements in efficiency, throughput, and quality.
* ** Champion Continuous Improvement:
** Apply Lean principles and lead Kaizen events to reduce waste, enhance safety, and improve delivery performance.
* ** Lead Capital Projects:
** Submit capital equipment (Cap Ex) requests, coordinate integration of new equipment, and ensure seamless execution.
* ** Troubleshoot & Innovate:
** Quickly resolve paint adhesion, curing, and application issues while exploring new methods to elevate our processes.
* ** Communicate Impact:
** Present updates and results to leadership and multi-functional teams.
** YOU HAVE:**

* Education:

** Bachelor’s (B.S.) degree in Polymers & Coatings, Chemicals, Materials, Mechanical Engineering,or related field.
* *
* Experience:

** Previous engineering experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on exposure to chemical applications, coatings, FIP/polyurethane foam, or materials processing preferred.
* ** Technical Knowledge:
** Solid foundation in chemistry, coatings, and materials science. Working knowledge of pretreatment (zirconium/iron/zinc phosphate), RO water systems, booths/ovens/conveyors, and powder reclaim/transfer efficiency preferred**.**
* ** Tools & Tech:
** Familiarity with

Works, AutoCAD, MS Office, ERP systems (such as JD Edwards), Product Lifecycle Management software (PLM, such as Enovia), and/or project management tools like Smartsheet.
