Resident Assistant​/CNA, Assisted Living and Memory Care

Walker Methodist Plaza is a senior housing community offering senior living with services and assisted living services in downtown Anoka. In Fall 2016, Walker Methodist Plaza added a new building featuring Memory Care and Enhanced Assisted Living to its campus, which already offers Independent Living, Housing with Services and Assisted Living.

Walker Methodist Plaza seeks Resident Assistants to provide hands-on personal care to meet each resident’s physical health and hygiene needs according to their individual care plan and under the direction of a nurse. The Resident Assistant will administer medications, medication reminders, accurate vital signs, simple wound care dressing and catheter care.

Full-time and part-time schedules include working every other weekend and alternate holidays.

• 6:30 am to 11:30 am
• 7:30 am to 3:00 pm
• 2:45 to 11:00 pm
• 6:00 to 11:00 pm
• Sensitivity to resident needs and the ability to build positive relationships
• Previous experience in medication administration
• Basic computer skills with experience or ability to learn electronic health record systems
• Available to work every other weekend
• High-school diploma or equivalent

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience in acute care or long-term care
