Overview
This position will serve as the Electric Utility Director for Anoka Municipal Utility.
The Electric Utility Director will direct all facets of utility operations; generation, transmission, distribution, planning, regulatory compliance, and customer service, ensuring the utility meets the current demands and is prepared for future challenges such as renewable integration, grid modernization, and resilience.
Responsibilities- Providing executive leadership and vision for the electric utility’s long-term strategy and day-to-day operations.
- Ensuring system reliability, regulatory compliance, safety standards, and cost-effective operations.
- Leading infrastructure investments, capital planning, and modernization projects.
- Developing and managing the annual operating and capital budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum five (5) years recent experience in managing electric utility operations.
- Minimum five (5) years recent supervisory experience.
- Must possess a valid unrestricted Class D Driver’s License, and a satisfactory driving record.
