Advocates of both in‑store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage, and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick‑up and drive‑up while ensuring exceptional quality.

Typical Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Inform guests of current promotions, store activities, and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Assist guests with Target Loyalty program enrollment or sign‑up.
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and best practices.
• Maintain guest wait time while preserving service quality and accuracy.
• Show guests how to use features and offerings within the Target App, including Wallet.
• Be familiar with Order Pick‑Up, Drive‑Up, and online ordering, and direct guests to enroll, activate, and use these features.
• Attempt every return and follow register prompts; partner with leaders to solve guest issues per Target’s policies.
• Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal.
• Stock supplies during open hours while remaining available for guests.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely, comply with all safety policies, and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as Order Pick‑Up, Drive‑Up, and compliance with beverage laws.
• Perform additional duties as required by business needs.

• Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and technology equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment; accomplish multiple tasks within time frames.

Basic Expectations

• Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations.
• Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, lifting up to 44 pounds when necessary.
• Flexible work schedule; reliable attendance.
• Remain mobile during scheduled shift; work in varying temperatures, humidity and other elements.
