Associate Veterinarian
Our client is a multi‑location small animal hospital group in Connecticut seeking a compassionate and motivated full‑time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The role offers the opportunity to divide time between the Westfield and Seymour hospitals, providing access to two supportive teams, shared resources, and a diverse patient population.
Working Hours / ScheduleThis is a full‑time position with flexible scheduling.
Role Description & ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Veterinarian will lead and mentor the veterinary team while upholding medical standards, develop and implement medical protocols, perform routine and advanced surgeries, interpret lab results to support accurate diagnoses, and build strong relationships with clients through education and communication. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.
Practice DetailsThe Seymour hospital is undergoing significant renovations, including the addition of two new exam rooms, a new treatment area with a dedicated dental space, and updated inpatient and outpatient treatment areas. Dental x‑ray has recently been added, and the team is actively training on its use. Services offered across the hospitals include pet anesthesia, behavioral medicine, dental care, pharmacy, hospice and euthanasia, laboratory services, microchipping, nutritional counseling, pain management, parasite prevention, puppy and kitten care, radiology, senior pet care, surgery, vaccinations, and wellness exams.
CandidateRequirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America.
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in.
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America, or be able to obtain the required visa to do so.
