Seasonal - Stock Associate

Overview

The Seasonal Stock Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing merchandise for the selling floor. They are also responsible for the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the stock room.

Reports To:

Store Management.

• First Impressions:
  Create a positive first impression by adhering to the dress code.
• Store Standards:
  Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness both in the stock room and on the selling floor.

• Shipment Management:
  Notify management of any shipment discrepancies and missed markdowns in the stock room.
• Merchandise Handling:
  Sensor, steam, fold, and hang merchandise as needed.
• Stock Organization:
  Bring new goods to the selling floor and replenish merchandise from the stock room to the selling floor.
• Operations:
  Execute transfers, RTVs (Return to Vendor), manage damages, and handle customer charge sends.
• Stock Room Maintenance:
  Ensure the stock room is organized, clean, and merchandise is floor-ready at all times.

• Task Completion:
  Satisfactorily complete all duties as assigned by management.
• Punctuality:
  Be punctual and adhere to designated work schedule.
• Teamwork:
  Be flexible and work well with peers and management to accomplish duties.
• Policy Adherence:
  Follow GUESS Policies and Procedures 100%.
• Housekeeping:
  Actively perform housekeeping and maintenance duties.

• Meetings and Functions:
  Participate in and attend all store meetings and other related functions.
• Positive Attitude:
  Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company.
• Inventory Participation:
  Participate in all inventories.
• Additional Duties:
  Assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  Previous retail or stockroom experience preferred.
• Team Player:
  Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexible
  
  Schedule:
  
  Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical Stamina:
  Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance on a frequent basis.
