The Strait Regional Centre for Education is seeking a dedicated African Canadian Student Support Worker for the  academic year. This position focuses on monitoring student attendance, mentoring, and fostering a supportive school environment. Key responsibilities include collaborating with staff and families to enhance student well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor student attendance and report relevant data

• Act as a positive role model for students

• Collaborate with administration on student progress

• Support course selection and career guidance

• Facilitate communication with teachers regarding students’ needs

Requirements:

• Grade 12 Academic and post-secondary education

• Understanding of educational issues impacting learners

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Experience with technology in educational settings

• Must be of African Canadian descent
