Early Childhood Educator at SRCE

Shape young minds as an Early Childhood Educator at the Antigonish Education Centre. This position focuses on implementing the Pre-Primary Program using the Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum Framework.

Supporting the Lead Early Childhood Educator, you will help create a nurturing and inclusive environment for children. Responsibilities include collaborating on curriculum delivery, observing child development, and fostering family communication.

Your role will focus on ensuring all children's needs are met through engaging activities and comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create dynamic learning environments welcoming all children

• Collaborate with the Lead Educator to establish routines

• Observe and interpret individual children's interests

• Deliver a curriculum responsive to developmental needs

• Maintain communication with families about program activities

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education

• In-depth knowledge of child growth and development

• Experience in play-based pedagogy

• Skills in documentation and assessment strategies

• Current first aid certification

Support holistic child development and enrich community involvement as an Early Childhood Educator.
