Early Childhood Educator Pre-Primary Program

Join the Strait Regional Centre for Education as an Early Childhood Educator in Antigonish, dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of pre-primary children. Connect with families while supporting child development in caring environments.

In this role, you will assist the Lead Educator in implementing a creative curriculum grounded in the Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum Framework. Your focus will be on fostering inclusive spaces, observing each child’s growth, and partnering with families to facilitate their involvement and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Lead Educator in creating inclusive learning spaces

• Document children’s interests and developmental progress

• Conduct open communication with families about student experiences

• Assist in implementing health plans and additional supports

• Foster emotional and social development through guidance

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education

• Proven understanding of child growth and play-based methods

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience in regulated childcare preferred

• Certified in first aid
