Position: Part-Time Teacher Grade P/1 HMMD
Enhance young minds at H M Macdonald Elementary as a Grade P/1 Teacher. This 50% term position focuses on integrated Language Arts and Math instruction every afternoon.

The Strait Regional Centre for Education is looking for qualified applicants for a teaching position running from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. Candidates must hold valid Nova Scotia teaching certification, with experience in relevant methodologies and excellent classroom management skills. You will be responsible for implementing inclusive strategies that support diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging integrated math and language arts lessons

• Provide effective classroom and student management

• Apply technology to support instruction

• Develop and employ inclusive teaching strategies

• Participate in inter-disciplinary curriculum planning

Requirements:

• Valid teacher certification for Nova Scotia

• Relevant teaching experience and methodology

• Strong student management abilities

• Skills in inclusive teaching practices

• Recent Criminal Record Check required
