Lunch and Bus Supervisor in Nova Scotia

Join the Strait Regional Centre for Education as a Lunch and Bus Ground Supervisor, ensuring student safety and well-being during key school hours. Provide effective supervision before and after school, as well as during lunch breaks.

This position is crucial for maintaining a supportive environment for approximately 5,948 students across 20 schools in northeastern Nova Scotia. The ideal candidate will oversee students as they arrive and leave by bus and during their lunch hour. Applicants should demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to handle various student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students before and after school hours

• Monitor bus arrivals and departures for student safety

• Report any issues to the principal or designated staff

• Assist students during lunch breaks

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Ability to provide personal care to students

• CPR/First Aid certification required or to be obtained

• Strong interpersonal skills necessary

• Experience with children in a professional setting
