Position: Advocate Coordinator for Violence Prevention
Become an Advocate Coordinator at Naomi Society, focusing on educational outreach in Antigonish and Guysborough Counties. Champion initiatives aimed at preventing gender-based violence and fostering community inclusivity.

This role involves developing comprehensive educational sessions and collaborating with community partners to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence. Your strong background in social services will allow you to engage with the community compassionately and effectively. Together, we will empower individuals and promote trauma-informed practices in addressing violence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute community education on gender-based violence

• Represent the society at local events and festivals

• Establish inclusive partnerships within the community

• Provide supportive connections to available resources

• Research new engagement methods for community involvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant areas

• 2 years of experience related to violence prevention

• Familiarity with community resources and supports

• Proficient in Office tools and presentation software

• Clean background checks and valid driver's license
