Security Officer Position at St. Martha's Hospital

Provide essential security services as a Security Watch person tha’s Regional Hospital, part of Nova Scotia Health. This casual role focuses on maintaining safety for everyone within the facility.

As a Security Watch person, you will be crucial in maintaining order and protecting hospital assets. Required qualifications include a Grade 12 education or GED, with a certificate from a security training facility seen as advantageous. Experience in building maintenance and proficiency in other languages, especially French, are also valuable assets for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol hospital premises to ensure safety

• Respond to incidents and security breaches

• Provide assistance to staff and visitors as needed

• Monitor and report on safety conditions

• Keep public and private areas orderly

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 education or GED

• Security training certificate is an asset

• Background in building maintenance is a plus

• Knowledge of French is favorable

• Availability for various shifts, including nights
