American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a Post Surgical/MS Tele Unit position requiring EKG interpretation and cardiac drip administration skills on night shift.

• Post Surgical Unit (MS Tele) within a hospital setting
• Cares for acutely ill adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Administers IV cardiac medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, heparin, and insulin drips
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• On-call as needed
• May float from stationed SCU hybrid telemetry/med-surg unit to other telemetry/med-surg units based on hospital needs

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• EKG interpretation skills required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Traveler experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to read cardiac rhythms and respond to changes
• Experience administering IV cardiac drips required
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required

• Delivers and coordinates care addressing physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs of patients and families
• Utilizes understanding of physiology/pathophysiology, nursing process, technology, and interpersonal communication skills
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• Max RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Returning staff/travelers must have been separated for at least 1 year to reapply
