Job Description

Has the recent closing of Pro/Data affected you? Do you have experience on Evolution software? If so, keep reading! As a YPD CSR, you support your assigned payroll clients, process payrolls for assigned clients, ensure accuracy of employee set ups,check work prepared by fellow CSRs. You report to the YPD Ops Lead.

Primary Objective:
You will process payrolls and manage 150-200 clients’ needs regarding employee set up, processing payrolls and producing reports that fit clients’ needs. You will be responsible for coaching your clients on their use of our payroll software and related payroll systems.

Secondary Objective:
You will be responsible for keeping up-to-date on your own knowledge of our payroll software and related payroll systems.

You will:

  • Process payrolls for assigned clients and coach clients in use of our software systems
  • Troubleshoot problems arising with payroll software and payroll related systems
  • Complete 20 hrs of approved CPE coursework each year
  • Support clients in use of time & attendance software/hardware
  • Work with team to revise our procedures to respond to external changes like software changes and law changes

Daily/Weekly Tasks include:

  • Ensure all submitted payrolls are processed completely and accurately
  • Ensure assigned clients are billed appropriately
  • Initiate client corrections, service bureau corrections and supplemental runs
  • Manage your day/week so that all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual processes are timely and accurately completed
  • Respond to and resolve client inquiries in a timely manner
  • Coach clients on use of payroll software as needed
    • Upload retirement plan data
  • Support internal accounting staff needs
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:

  • Tech savvy (quick learner who is comfortable with technology and able to problem solve issues where software is not intuitive)
  • Ability to work well and quickly under pressure
  • Strong 10-key typing skills
  • Open to change and willing to learn
