Description:

We are hiring for our client, a leading fit-out contractor based in Antrim, who wish to recruit an experienced Joinery Estimator. This Joinery Estimator role is a permanent position within a growing procurement team, supporting the delivery of award-winning fit-out projects across the retail, hospitality, heritage sectors. The successful Joinery Estimator will play a key role in pricing tenders, sourcing materials, and working closely with workshop and project management teams to ensure accurate, competitive bids.

  • The Role:

    • Review tender packs, design drawings, specifications and documents to fully understand client needs and project scope
    • Identify materials and finishes, and flag cost considerations relating to custom joinery elements
    • Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing
    • Calculate material costs and liaise with workshop teams and project managers to estimate labour hours for fabrication, assembly and installation
    • Input material and labour requirements into estimating software
    • Manage multiple bids, ensuring client time frames and formats are met, and attend pre- and post-bid meetings as required

    The Person:

    • 5+ years' experience estimating fit-out projects involving woodworking/joinery
    • Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and materials
    • Ability to interpret drawings accurately
    • Proficient in calculating material quantities, labour hours and overall project costs, with familiarity with estimating software
    • Computer literate — Office/Excel/Outlook
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
