Client

Our client has over 40 years' experience providing bespoke construction solutions, offering end-to-end design, manufacturing, and installation services across the UK and Ireland. It serves multiple sectors with a range of flexible, cost-effective buildings, focusing on quality, efficiency, safety, and meeting complex client requirements.

Overview of Role:

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the commercial management of projects.
  • Ensuring clear and concise measurement, valuations, variations, preparation, submission, and agreement of interim and final accounts.
  • Produce BOQs, monitor cash collection, monitor sub-contractor accounts, ensure budgets are met and attend regular finance meetings.
  • Assisting in implementing the business plan and developing business opportunities.
  • Regular and accurate reporting to the Commercial Manager and Managing Director.
Desirable
  • Experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in successful project delivery and a minimum of 3 years' industry experience, including significant involvement in groundwork and civil engineering packages.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, forms, techniques, and associated construction costs, particularly within groundwork, drainage, excavation, and infrastructure works.
  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying or membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Clear understanding of contractual obligations, breaches, and remedies.
  • Competent knowledge of a range of procurement options available in the industry.
  • Familiarity with current legal and regulatory developments in respect of construction and associated law.
  • Experience in Construction estimating software (Conquest)
