Role OverviewWe are looking for a friendly and approachable Veterinary Receptionist and Customer Care administrator to join our team on a full‑time or part‑time basis.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for liaising with clients and clinical staff to deliver an exceptional standard of customer care. The role includes meeting and greeting clients and their pets, managing appointments and diaries, handling telephone and email enquiries, processing payments for services and products, and overseeing cash handling and end‑of‑day banking. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, assist with dispensing medications, handle pets when required, and work closely with veterinary staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
The position is KPI‑focused, requiring professionalism and empathy, particularly when supporting clients through sensitive situations such as pet injury or bereavement. Administrative duties include managing pet insurance details, monitoring vaccination status, coordinating future appointments, and promoting pet health care memberships whilst dealing with emergencies and critical cases.
Ideally this role is full time up to 40 hours per week over 5 days; however we can also consider part time hours for this role. There will be various shifts with opening and closing times on weekdays 8am-7:30pm and the shifts will consist of an early morning shift and a late evening shift plus a weekend rota 1 in 5 to cover Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

We are looking for someone with exceptional customer service skills as you will be the first point of contact for clients. You must have a friendly, welcoming demeanor, excellent attention to detail, be a confident communicator via phone, face to face, and email, be patient, a team player, and be proficient in Microsoft Office packages. Experience in the veterinary or health care sector is preferable.
Will suit someone who is used to working in a high‑paced environment that is willing to multi‑task. Must have confident clear IT skills.
