The Role We're recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business based near Toome. This is a varied role combining workshop-based assembly with field service, installation and commissioning of heavy Machinery. As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for building machinery from engineering drawings, carrying out installations, commissioning equipment and providing maintenance and after-sales support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both workshop and site-based engineering work.

Key Responsibilities Assemble and fit industrial machinery from engineering drawings and build specifications. Prepare, inspect and test machinery prior to dispatch. Carry out on-site installation, commissioning and operator training. Diagnose mechanical faults and complete servicing and maintenance at customer sites. Provide technical support to customers and the engineering team. What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years' experience in a mechanical assembly or field service engineering role.

Strong mechanical fitting and fault-finding skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience working on industrial machinery, heavy plant or manufacturing equipment. Basic electrical and hydraulic knowledge would be advantageous. Time-served Mechanical Engineer or relevant engineering qualification preferred. Full UK driving licence. Willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland with occasional overnight stays.
