MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Senior BIM Technician for our client, a leading mechanical engineering and contracting business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BIM professional to join a growing technical team, supporting the development and coordination of detailed mechanical and MEP designs throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical and MEP systems. Produce accurate technical drawings, layouts and fabrication drawings. Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, structural and architectural disciplines. Identify and resolve clashes and design issues through BIM coordination. Review drawings, specifications and design information to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintain and update BIM models and project documentation. Support the implementation and improvement of BIM standards, processes and workflows.
Work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure designs are accurate, coordinated and practical. Provide technical BIM support and contribute to continuous improvement across projects. Criteria Proven experience as a BIM Technician, Senior BIM Technician, BIM Coordinator or similar role. Strong proficiency in Revit and relevant BIM software. Experience producing detailed mechanical/MEP drawings and 3D models. Strong understanding of mechanical building services and BIM coordination.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary models and resolving clashes. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and design information. Strong attention to detail and a high level of technical accuracy. Good communication and organisational skills. Experience working to BIM standards and ISO 19650 principles would be advantageous.
