Enso Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established, customer-focused technology organisation who are continuing to grow their technical services function and are now looking to bring a Cyber Security Analyst on board.
The OpportunityThis is a great opportunity for a security professional who enjoys variety and wants to work across a broad range of cyber security disciplines in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll play a key role in monitoring, investigating, and responding to security incidents across customer environments, while also contributing to ongoing security improvement initiatives.
It’s a role that suits someone who is technically sharp, calm under pressure, and equally comfortable talking to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents through SIEM and ticketing systems
- Investigate indicators of compromise and take swift action to secure affected accounts and devices
- Monitor for attacks, intrusions, and unusual or unauthorised activity across customer environments
- Use analytic tools to identify emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities
- Generate clear incident reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Monitor identity and access management systems, including misuse of permissions by authorised users
- Provide guidance to staff and clients on threats including phishing, malware, and ransomware
- Support the implementation of security initiatives including MFA
, geo-blocking policies, and web filtering solutions - Research and report on emerging cyber threats and how they can be mitigated
- Contribute to security improvement projects and help promote a culture of security awareness across the organisation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Solid understanding of Microsoft 365
, Azure environments, and Windows desktop security - Experience identifying and responding to a range of cyber threats including phishing, malware, and ransomware
- Familiarity with incident response methodologies and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001
- Able to prioritise effectively and multitask across concurrent incidents
- Comfortable investigating ambiguous or incomplete problems independently
- Capable of delivering security advice and awareness training to staff and stakeholders
- Holding a relevant certification such as CompTIA Security+,
SC-200
, AZ-500
, or GCIH would strengthen your application, though not essential
