Position: Trade Counter and Stores Coordinator TLNT1_NI
Location: Antrim

This position is responsible for delivering excellent customer service through the trade counter, telephone and sales support functions, whilst ensuring efficient stock control, goods handling and warehouse operations. The role acts as a key point of contact for customers and suppliers and supports the smooth running of operations

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver excellent customer service at the trade counter, by telephone and through email enquiries. Assist customers with product enquiries, quotations, pricing and order processing. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers. Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the Sage system. Oversee the day-to-day operation of the trade counter Place purchase orders with suppliers and monitor deliveries. Receive, check and book in incoming goods.

Maintain stock accuracy and ensure optimum stock levels are held. Coordinate couriers and transport arrangements for customer deliveries. Ensure efficient and accurate picking, packing and dispatch of customer orders. Maintain the warehouse, stores and trade counter areas in a clean, organised and safe condition. Ensure compliance with Company procedures and health and safety requirements. Identify opportunities to improve customer service, efficiency and operational processes.

Skills Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Good communication skills with the ability to deal confidently with customers, suppliers and colleagues. Good sales support and customer account management skills. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Strong accuracy and attention to detail. Good IT skills including Sage or similar ERP systems. Ability to process orders, quotations and procurement transactions efficiently. Ability to coordinate day-to-day trade counter activities.

Ability to work independently and use initiative. Ability to identify and implement improvements in service and processes. Knowledge Customer service and trade counter practice. Sales order processing and quotation administration. Stock control and inventory management principles. Procurement and supplier management processes. Goods inward and dispatch procedures. Health and safety requirements within a warehouse and trade counter environment. Courier and logistics coordination.

Team player Experience Previous trade counter, customer service or branch-based sales support experience Experience working within an engineering, industrial supplies, builders merchant, electrical wholesale or similar environment desirable. Processing customer orders and dealing directly with customers.

Stock control and inventory management. Experience using Sage or a similar ERP system. Experience placing purchase orders and liaising with suppliers. Full driving licence essential. Forklift licence desirable. Working Hours are 8 hours per day Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00
